Spank Out Day

The Catholic Diocese of Columbus (Ohio) Family Life Office is asking that parents and caregivers observe "Spank Out Day USA" on April 30. As the official Columbus diocese website states:

"Caregivers will be encouraged not to use corporal punishment on children...(and)...hitting children sometimes leads to injuries and is not effective in teaching children better behavior."

This all sounds very nice, 'let's not spank our children,' but today we have the least spanked, least watched, least disciplined, most-sexed, most-drugged, most ill-mannered generation in centuries - and the reason is that parents are too AFRAID to discipline their children.

First of all, no parent properly corporally punishing their children will cause them any real injury, and those that do truly abuse should be prosecuted. However as to the statement above, that corporal punishment, "...is not effective in teaching children better behaviour," this is totally against what the bible says.

The bible says (and how Romanists hate this phrase because it exposes their false church) in Proverbs 13:24, "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes." So he that spares the rod hates his son - this is very plain.

Rome, observing a "Spank Out Day" is in essence telling us we should hate our children. I don't need a "magisterium" to tell me what this means. Proverbs 22:15 says, "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction will drive it far from him." Proverbs 23:13-14 says, "Withhold not corrction from the child; for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with a rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell."

My only conclusion is that the Catholic Diocese of Columbus is not interested in delivering children from hell, but delivering them TO hell!

Lastly, Proverbs 29:19 says, "A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understands he will not answer." Some parents seem to think that if they yell enough, kids will listen. But the bible says right here that though they would understand, it won't change their way of doing things.

Yesterday we had another school shooting in the USA in El Cajon, California. This will only get worse if people continue on a liberal and Roman Catholic course of life. I pray for Reformation and revival.
