Idolatry in Central Ohio
The second Sunday of Easter was a time for additional idolatry in several central Ohio Roman Catholic parishes as the "Chaplet of Divine Mercy" was said.
The "chaplet" is a different set of repetitious "prayers" said instead of the "Hail Marys" on the usual set of Rosary beads. Rome does this in spite of what Jesus said in Matthew 6:7, "BUT WHEN YE PRAY, USE NOT VAIN REPETITIONS, AS THE HEATHEN DO..."
This "chaplet" and other things were supernaturally revealed to a Polish nun, "Blessed Faustina", (real name Helena Kowalska) from 1931-1935. During this time she claimed to have had many visions of someone who claimed to be "Jesus". Miss Kowalska was declared a "saint" by John Paul II on April 30, 2000, so she must have the full approval of the Roman Church.
This "Jesus" also told Miss Kowalska to have an image painted of himself so that, "By means of this image, I shall be granting many graces to souls; so let every soul have access to it. I promise that the soul that shall venerate this image shall not perish."
But the second commandment in the bible says in Exodus 20:4, "THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE..." Deuteronomy 16:22 says, "NEITHER SHALL THOU SET THEE UP ANY IMAGE; WHICH THE LORD THY GOD HATETH." Romans 1:22-23 says, "PROFESSING THEMSELVES TO BE WISE, THEY BECAME FOOLS, AND CHANGED THE GLORY OF THE UNCORRUPTIBLE GOD INTO AN IMAGE MADE LIKE CORRUPTIBLE MAN..." Did God change His mind on images sometime between ~60 AD (the writing of Romans) and 1931?
A biography of Miss Kowalska states, "At the divine Lord's request, she willingly offered her personal sufferings in union with Him to atone for the sins of others..." To say a Polish nun in the 1930's helped Christ atone for sins is blasphemy and a total denial of the work of the real Jesus Christ ALONE on the cross, paying the penalty for our sins.
1 Corinthians 1:22 says, "THE JEWS REQUIRE A SIGN..." Just as the Jews of Paul's time looked for signs because they didn't believe the word of God, so also today those who practice a ritualistic religion such as Romanism look for signs all over the world because they have rejected the word of God.
May our Lord give Catholics the courage to confess Catholicism as sin, and receive Christ by faith ALONE.
