The Roman Priesthood - A Great Way to Spend a Lifetime, But NOT an Eternity!

"A Great Way To Spend A Lifetime" is the headline of an article in the latest Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Ohio newspaper as two young men were just ordained to the Roman priesthood.

It's an accurate title. These two men will be fed, clothed, paid, and housed by Rome for the rest of their lives. If they play around with women or molest children, Rome will cover for them and send them off to another area. They will be respected and protected by their parishioners, and any "dirty" work, like dealing with or debating bible-believing Christians they in most cases leave to "lay" Catholic apologists.

Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk exhorted them saying, "Loving one another is not an easy task. To keep us reponsive to His command, Christ has given us His church." This statement is in line with Catholic teaching, which has the Pope as Christ's vicar on earth.

But the bible says the capacity for us to love comes from Christ's real vicar on earth, the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:5 says, "BECAUSE THE LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY GHOST, WHICH IS GIVEN UNTO US." Only the Holy Spirit can give us the ability to love, not the Roman Church.

'His Grace' also told these two to, "Reassure people with the teaching of Christ through their preaching." How? Chapter IX of the Sixth Session of the Council of Trent says, "No one can know with the certainty of faith...that he has obtained the grace of God." This is not very "reassuring!"

The archbishop is actually speaking of a false reassurance - in telling people they are alright with God, when in fact they have never repented of their sin and received Christ by faith ALONE. The devil tries to keep this Roman "reassurance" charade up until the end of a Catholic's life - and then it is too late!

Yes, it's "a great way to spend a lifetime." But the moment these two priests take their last breath on earth, they will be in torment with the rich man of Luke 16, and they'll find out they are not in purgatory, but in Hades awaiting final judgment.

But Jesus told us the truth in John 14:16-17a, "I WILL PRAY THE FATHER, AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU ANOTHER COMFORTER, THAT HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOR EVER; EVEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH;" If Jesus says, "HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOR EVER," thats good enough for me.

May our Lord give these two men the grace to be free from the Roman priesthood; may they and many other Catholics come to the feet of Christ, drop the sin of Romanism there, and be born again.
