We'll Have a "Gay Old Time"

The Roman Church has been building bridges to the homosexuals outside its priesthood through various diocesan ministries aimed at supporting "gay and lesbian Catholics," and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio, is no exception.

The Cleveland diocese is sponsoring what its September diocesan memorandum calls, 'Emmaus 2002: A Retreat for Gay and Lesbian Catholics,' September 27-29 at a local Jesuit Retreat House. It will be facilitated by a Jesuit priest, a nun, and "a retreat team of gay and lesbian Catholics." (And Catholics wonder why their children get molested!)

The memorandum says, "The retreat has been designed as a celebration and deepening of Catholic faith and sharing among the retreatants." Hmmmm......One can only speculate what a group of queers gathered together for a weekend would be "sharing."

The memorandum did not say if the diocese would provide 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show,' or a Judy Garland movie for viewing during the retreat, but they might as well!

The memorandum also noted the price and accomodations for the retreat: "$130 for the weekend includes a private single room and five meals." (I wonder if any of the "retreatants" will ignore the "private single room" proviso?)

May God's Spirit speak to the hearts of these homosexuals, and show them Rome is deceiving them by pampering them IN their sin, whereas the only freedom for a homosexual Catholic can come when they repent and forsake the sin of Romanism and homosexuality, and receive the cleansing from sin that only comes from faith in Christ ALONE.
