Rome Exalts Mary on Christmas Day

The Roman Catholic Church could not resist taking a slap at Jesus Christ even on Christmas Day. This was seen in the December 25 Catholic 'Zenit News Agency' article with the Christ-denying title, "If We Ignore the Mother, We Can't See the Child."

The article featured an interview with apostate Presbyterian turned Catholic Scott Hahn, who has gotten his reward as a big shot in the Catholic Church, and now teaches at the Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. What's nice about being a Catholic is that you can make up your own theology, and Mr. Hahn is no exception! Here are a few of his twisted pontifications from this article intended to promote Mary worship:

1. "And He (God) wants us to love her (Mary) as much as He does."

Comment - I can't find in the bible where God tells us to love Mary more and more, but that doesn't stop Mr. Hahn.

2. In ancient Israel, "the queen mother loomed large in the affections of the Israelites."

Comment - the bible does NOT teach this. But then, Hahn knows that 999 out of 1000 Catholics will never bother to check the bible on this.

As a matter of fact, the only real kingdom period example of a person asking the King's mother for intercession was an ENEMY of the King!! It was when the usurper Adonijah asked Bathsheba to intercede for him with her son, Solomon. But Solomon saw through Adonijah's phony ploy and had him executed (1 Kings 2:25). So much for those who seek the intercession of the King's mother!

We pray God's Spirit shows many Catholics that only when they "ignore Rome" can they then "see the Child" and receive Christ by faith ALONE.
