Catholic "Facts"

Since the bible doesn't say a lot about Mary, Rome is always looking for ways to expand on her life. One such attempt was found in the Dec 12 issue of 'The Criterion,' the newspaper of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Indiana, in an article titled, "This Child is our Savior, Messiah, and Lord."

The article purports to be a newly found letter written by Luke, with additional details on the life of Mary. Now, this "letter" DOES have a small disclaimer at the beginning saying:

"The following news story and accompanying letter are fictional, but the facts in the letter are true."

Yes, they are admitting such a letter really doesn't exist. But - are the "facts in the letter true" as the archdiocese claims?? Reporting on the angel Gabriel's visit to Mary, this "letter" says:

"Mary said that she asked the angel how that (her conceiving a child) could be because she had taken a vow of virginity."

Interesting......But by testing the Indianapolis archdiocese versus what the bible says, we find that "the facts in the letter" are NOT TRUE!! Speaking of Gabriel's visit to Mary, the real Luke writes in Luke 1:27: "TO A VIRGIN ESPOUSED TO A MAN WHOSE NAME WAS JOSEPH, OF THE HOUSE OF DAVID, AND THE VIRGIN'S NAME WAS MARY."

So - Why would Mary have taken a "vow of virginity," and then have been espoused to Joseph?? According to this Catholic fabrication, the Roman "Mary" must have told Joseph BEFORE Gabriel came, "We're getting married, but I've taken a vow of virginity." This is absurd.

Catholics need to open their bibles and start checking out the "facts" Rome teaches them. May God grant many Catholics repentance from the false "Virgin-Goddess" worship of Romanism, bring them out of the Catholic Church, and may they receive Christ by faith ALONE.
