Poker - Coming to a Catholic Church Near You??

The Catholic Church continues to ape what the world is doing. With the advent of TV poker, Catholic churches are starting to host "Texas Hold 'Em" poker tournaments to raise money

In the Cleveland, Ohio area, St Francis de Sales Catholic Church held their first ever "Texas Hold 'Em" tournament this past April 28. And, tickets are on sale now for a May 20 tournament to be held at Assumption Catholic Church.

Comment – I suppose bingo was getting a little too boring for some Catholics.

Instead, may Catholics see that Rome has dealt them the "Dead Man's Hand."

(Editor note – The "Dead Man's Hand" includes a pair of aces and a pair of 8's. It's what Wild Bill Hickok was holding when he was shot to death at a poker game on Aug 2, 1876.)

Please pray daily for Catholic conversions.
