Historical Revisionism - The Way Rome Likes It

How will history view the 2002-2003 revelations of extensive Catholic priestly sex abuse and its cover-up by bishops? If Rome has its way, it will be seen in the future as just another episode of "anti-Catholicism."

Catholic media is loudly touting a new book called, "The New Anti-Catholicism," which glosses over the shattered lives of thousands of children forced to have sex with their priests, and instead tries to portray the news coverage and legal prosecution of these priests as "anti-Catholicism."

The book is authored by a former Catholic who now claims to be an Episcopalian. He may be an Episcopalian, but he writes in the "spirit of Rome." This book is yet another attempt to shift attention AWAY from the real culprits - Roman priests - and and place the blame anywhere and elsewhere.

Even the Reformation is blamed!! The May 16 'Pittsburgh Catholic,' in an article titled, "Book Examines the Last Acceptable Prejudice," said in a review of the book:

"Jenkins (the book author) describes what he sees as an evolution of anti-Catholic thought in America, tracing it to post-Reformation propaganda in England that painted the church as an enemy of freedom and national identity, rooted in superstition and ignorance."

Only the "spirit of Rome" could twist this issue around so that 16th century English Protestant Reformers become the focus, and not the real villians - lustful Catholic priests!

By the way, Rome has been and still is the "enemy of freedom and national identity." Speaking to a May 2 Pontifical Academy of Sciences meeting whose theme was, "The Governance of Globalisation," the pope said:

"This goal (globalisation) cannot be achieved without guidance from the international community and adequate regulation on the part of the worldwide political establishment."

You can bet your last 'euro' that when the pope speaks of "adequate regulation," he means EU and UN laws superceding and being enforced over the laws and freedoms of individual nations.

May our Lord Jesus Christ continue to expose the wicked nature of Romanism, no matter how hard Rome and its propaganda machine try to whitewash it.

"But Your Honor, He Wasn't a Parishioner..."

Cleveland, Ohio Roman priest Daniel McBride pleaded guilty May 15, "To a charge of promoting prostitution...and (he) faces up to five years in prison and a fine of $10,000." This was reported in a May 16 Cleveland 'Plain Dealer' article titled, "Priest Admits Paying Boy, 17, for Sex."

The article said, "Sheriff's deputies were staking out...a suspected gay brothel, on April 21, 2002, when they saw McBride accompany a friend to the bar. He was there, prosecutors said, to meet the 17-year-old boy..." McBride then took the boy up to his Chautauqua, New York condominium for a day where, "He paid the boy $140 and bought him a $10 compact disc by rapper Project Pat."

Naturally, excuses are being made for this pervert priest. McBride's attorney said, "There was never even a hint that he did anything wrong with any other minors or any of his parishioners. What he did was as a private person. The fact that he happened to be a Catholic priest is irrelevant."

The article further stated that McBride's attorney, "Accused prosecutors of targeting McBride specifically because he was a priest."

Ohhhh...I get it...Catholics must think that priestly homosexual acts with minors aren't so bad when the priest is only caught 'once.' And...Catholics really aren't worried about their homosexual priests if they attack only those children who aren't "parishioners."

I implore all bible believing Christians to pray daily that Christ would protect children from - the Roman Catholic priesthood.
