Catholic Love to Priests - Be They Perverts or Potheads

Norton, Ohio Roman priest Richard Arko was arrested Jan 21 for growing 35 marijuana plants in his rectory. With drug use destroying so many lives, one would think Catholics would be shocked at such behaviour, but this is NOT the case. Arko's parishioners held a fundraiser for him this past Jan 27!! This was reported on in the Jan 29 issue of the Akron, Ohio 'Beacon Journal,' in an article titled, "Parishioners Stand by Priest in Court."

The fundraiser for 'Father' Arko, a strict vegetarian and yoga practitioner, was held at a local restaurant. Here are a few 'Beacon Journal' quotes from Arko's parishioners at the fundraiser:

1. "We have a lot more serious things to address in this country than whether the parish priest smokes pot."

Comment - I guess some Catholics don't care if their clergymen are high on dope!

2. "If he did this, I'm sure it was for a good reason."

Comment - Like what??

One parishioner was actually quite prophetic when he said, "I'd walk through fire for him." Well......yes he will - for all eternity - if he doesn't forsake Roman Catholicism.

Question - How much does the Catholic love his idolatry? Answer - Enough to support perverts and potheads in the priesthood!

May God continue to expose the horrible nature of the Roman priesthood, free Catholics from their bondage, and give them faith in Christ ALONE for the full and free forgiveness of sins.

"For Pope and Dope"

Such possibly could have been the ordination vow of Norton, Ohio Roman priest Richard Arko. The Cleveland, Ohio 'Plain Dealer,' in a Jan 23 article titled, "Norton Priest Arrested on Drug Charges," reported that Arko:

"Has been charged with cultivating marijuana after police found 35 plants in the closet of a spare bedroom of the rectory next to his church...Jensen Powell, an unemployed man living in the home with Arko, was charged with trafficking marijuana."

It's amazing what's being found in the "closets" of Roman priests these days! The article also said:

"officers found the plants - ranging from 6 inches to 4 feet tall - in the closet, along with grow lights, air purifiers, and books on how to grow the plants."

One has to wonder - if Arko has the "power" to say a few magic words and turn wafers into Christ, why didn't he employ his sorcery in commanding the marijuana plants to turn themselves into tomato plants?

This is yet another episode in the unending saga of Roman priestly wickedness. May the Holy Spirit use this latest story to grant more Catholics repentance from Romanism, and bless them with saving faith in Christ ALONE.

Statues More Important Than People

The real heart of your average Catholic bishop was inadvertently exposed in the Jan 14 issue of the 'San Antonio (Texas) Express-News,' in an article titled, "Worshippers Subdue Man Who Says He Ought to Save Souls at Historic Church."

At a Jan 13 Mass at the San Fernando Cathedral, a man deliberately toppled seven statues. "Some of them split in two, others in dozens of tiny pieces," as the article reported.

The San Antonio archbishop's reaction was also recorded:

"Archbishop Patrick Flores fought to maintain his composure as he described his reaction to seeing seven major statues crumbled on the church's stone floor. They lay prostrate, some without limbs, others without heads...Flores said, 'I got depressed when I saw it, and I couldn't help but cry.'"

Over the past two years thousands of priestly sex-abuse cases have been uncovered - and reported on in many newspaper accounts. Question - Did we ever read of a Roman bishop reacting in such a way to the shattered lives of young people sexually attacked by their priests?

Answer - No.

It's rather obvious that stone, ceramics, and idolatry are more important to the Catholic clergy than the well-being of people. May God open the eyes of many Catholics to the cold stone hearts of their priests, and may they repent of Catholicism and receive Christ by faith ALONE.

Who Can Catholics Trust?

The Jan 10 issue of the Cleveland, Ohio, 'Plain Dealer,' in an article titled, "Details Unfold in Diocesan Cash Probe," reported:

"Private companies controlled by the chief financial officer of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese received more than $750,000 from an accounting firm the CFO had hired to work for the diocese. The checks were written over the past six years to companies of Joseph H. Smith, the diocese's highest-ranking lay employee."

Because Smith is now being investigated for this illegal diversion of funds, he was suspended by Cleveland Bishop Anthony Pilla this past week.

The information on Smith's activities first came to light via an anonymous letter. BUT - Was the letter first sent to the diocese? No. Was the letter first sent to Bishop Pilla? No.

The anonymous letter detailing these illegal activities was FIRST sent to a Cleveland lawyer representing sex-abuse victims!

Question - who do Cleveland Catholics trust more these days - their bishop or an attorney representing sex-abuse victims? Answer - the attorney representing sex-abuse victims!

The attorney has already turned the letter over to police. This is why the lawyer got the letter, and not the bishop.

May the Spirit of our Lord show many Catholics that if they can't trust their priests and bishops to be honest about criminal acts, can they trust them to be honest about the truth of Christ? May Catholics forsake their priests, confess Catholicism as sin, and receive Christ by faith ALONE.
