Rome Exalts Mary on Christmas Day

The Roman Catholic Church could not resist taking a slap at Jesus Christ even on Christmas Day. This was seen in the December 25 Catholic 'Zenit News Agency' article with the Christ-denying title, "If We Ignore the Mother, We Can't See the Child."

The article featured an interview with apostate Presbyterian turned Catholic Scott Hahn, who has gotten his reward as a big shot in the Catholic Church, and now teaches at the Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. What's nice about being a Catholic is that you can make up your own theology, and Mr. Hahn is no exception! Here are a few of his twisted pontifications from this article intended to promote Mary worship:

1. "And He (God) wants us to love her (Mary) as much as He does."

Comment - I can't find in the bible where God tells us to love Mary more and more, but that doesn't stop Mr. Hahn.

2. In ancient Israel, "the queen mother loomed large in the affections of the Israelites."

Comment - the bible does NOT teach this. But then, Hahn knows that 999 out of 1000 Catholics will never bother to check the bible on this.

As a matter of fact, the only real kingdom period example of a person asking the King's mother for intercession was an ENEMY of the King!! It was when the usurper Adonijah asked Bathsheba to intercede for him with her son, Solomon. But Solomon saw through Adonijah's phony ploy and had him executed (1 Kings 2:25). So much for those who seek the intercession of the King's mother!

We pray God's Spirit shows many Catholics that only when they "ignore Rome" can they then "see the Child" and receive Christ by faith ALONE.

Catholics Raise Cash to Free Pervert

Boston priest and child molester Paul Shanley is out on bail after seven months in jail. This was reported in the December 11 issue of the 'Boston Herald,' in an article titled, "Priest at Center of Scandal Freed After Posting Bail."

Shanley was freed after family, friends, and supporters raised the $300,000 in cash necessary. According to the 'Boston Herald,' "Because the bail was posted in cash, the source of the money is not public record." The Boston Archdiocese denies contributing to this "Free the Pervert Fund," but then, can we trust anything the Boston Archdiocese says these days?

A father of one of Shanley's victims, commenting on seeing Shanley as he walked free out of the courthouse said, "He (Shanley) had a look on his face I haven't seen in years. I thought I'd never see that look again. It's back and it's scary."

One condition of Shanley's release was that he avoid any contact with anyone under 16 years of age. Hmmmm......I suppose then that Boston Catholic teenagers aged 16 and 17 had better watch out!

Question - What kind of people raise $300,000 in cash to set a pervert free? Answer - Catholic people!

May Jesus Christ protect Catholic children from the Roman Catholic Church, because their priests and parents sure won't protect them!

"Feeding" the Catholic Faithful

In its efforts to keep Catholics away from the bible, the Roman Church continues to spiritualize anything it can to feed the "faithful." A typical Catholic teaching spiritualization was found recently in the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio newspaper, 'The Catholic Times,' in an article titled, "The Advent Wreath."

Instead of feeding its flock the word of God, the Columbus diocese is feeding them all sorts of symbolism and man-made spiritualizations regarding Christmas wreaths. Let's take a look at some of the spiritual "nourishment" provided in this article to Catholics of central Ohio:

1. "The circular form of the wreath, having no beginning or end, symbolizes infinity and God's unending love for us."

2. "The evergreens remind us of new beginnings in the dead of winter by their traditional color of life and growth, hope and promise."

3. "The use of blue and off-white (candles) serves two purposes: A) Deep blue imitates the dawning and setting sky, calling us into watchfulness and representing our waiting for the Lord more appropriately than penitential purple. B) Purple and rose are traditionally the colors of the penitential Lenten season. It might be less confusing, especially for children, to focus on one liturgical color this season."

This is spiritualization at its worst! Catholic children need the forgiveness of sins that is in Christ ALONE, but their church seems more concerned about them getting their Christmas and Lenten colors mixed up!

Well......If Rome can derive some kind of symbolic teaching from "The Advent Wreath," let me also give it a try! Here goes: Just as the wreath will wither and die because the branches have been cut off from the tree, so too will the Roman Church, by its idolatry being cut off from Christ, wither and die.

Need I go on? This is the sawdust Catholics are being fed by their priests every Sunday morning. Rome does not want the bible taught because the REAL Christ is found in the word of God, not Christmas wreaths.

The pope may set a pretty table, but the only victuals he provides are cardboard! May many Catholics repent and forsake Rome, and receive the true bread of God (no, He doesn't turn Himself into a wafer), Jesus Christ, by faith ALONE.
